One of our long standing franchisee’s, Len, gave us insight into what it’s like to be part of the Dublcheck family, and how he’s found his Dublcheck journey so far.

Len came to Dublcheck in 2006 after a 30-year career in food retail management, where he worked long hours and work/life balance was non existent. When he was made redundant he began looking at other avenues, away from the retail sector, which is where he came across a Dublcheck franchise up for re-sale.

Since I became a Dublcheck franchisee the home/work life balance has improved tremendously – I can spend more time with my wife Sue and see more of our nine grandchildren helping with baby minding when and if required.

Len likes to take a number of holidays each year, at a time that is convenient to him and his wife, which was not always something that was possible in his previous profession. Through building up a great team around him, utilising two supervisors to undertake daily tasks, Len is free to look after his business at a top level and enjoy his life.

Providing commercial cleaning services across a territory which includes Telford and Shrewsbury, much of Len’s success has been through generating business through referrals. The great level of service provided is confirmed through recommendations from Len’s current clients, which has helped him build a great reputation. He services a variety of contracts, from small hairdresser’s to large factories and office blocks.

My journey with Dublcheck holds me in good stead to be able to advise and assist new franchisees through the Mentor system which is part of the service Dublcheck offers to all new Franchises to aid them in their first year of business.

Len attributes his success to his commitment to customer service. “I spend the first week of any new contract working onsite and getting to know the client’s requirements,” he reveals. “All my clients have my personal phone number so they know they can contact me over any issue (even when on holiday I am contactable), No Call Centres for my clients.

I often get asked as I have just celebrated my 60th Birthday (March 2018) when will I be retiring. My answer is why retire when I am enjoying the life with Dublcheck.
